Hospital & Nursing Home Notarization

When you need a document notarized at a hospital or nursing home it can often be a stressful situation. Let us alleviate some of that stress. NOTARIES CAN NOT NOTARIZE FOR PATIENTS WITH DEMENTIA OR OTHER CONDITIONS THAT AFFECT THEIR ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY ARE SIGNING.

Wedding Officiant

We can perform civil marriage ceremonies either in office or at your location. A simple “I Do” service starts at $35 in office. On location- negotiable depending on time, distance and services requested.

The SIGNER of the document must be present (in person) with their OFFICIAL Government-Issued PHOTO ID (Such as a driver’s license or passport, WITH A PHOTO, that HAS NOT EXPIRED) Pictures of IDs are NOT sufficient. The entire purpose of notarization is to verify a SIGNER’S identity and to make sure the signer is signing a document without coercion, AND/OR to administer an oath that the statements in a document are true (just like in court).

Notarization does not “Make a document legal”, it simply shows that the person signing the document was properly identified by the notary, was not under duress (forced to sign it or was mentally incapable of knowing what they were signing), or was given an oath under potential penalty of perjury if the document is not truthful.

Top Caller Questions and Comments

  • Where are you located? 6787 Lee Highway, Chattanooga, TN *INSIDE* Chattanooga Bar Stools & More. You will not see a sign for notary service- we are inside the furniture store.
  • What are your hours? Tuesday through Friday, 10am to 5pm, Saturday 10am to 3pm. CLOSED Sunday and Monday.
  • What do you charge? $3 recording fee per signer and $5 per notary stamp. $40 minimum travel fee to area hospitals, nursing homes and commercial businesses (In Chattanooga), then $5 per stamp.
  • Do I need to make an appointment? Mobile service, yes. At our office- no. We don’t take appointments for in office, just drop by. Call to make sure the notary is not on an out call so you don’t waste a trip 🙂 Why? No-shows. Out-calls get priority. Would you wait around for $8 that most likely won’t show up, or $45 to an out call?
  • Can you travel to Georgia or Alabama? No, we are only licensed in TN, but we can notarize for anyone with proper ID from any state as long as the notarization takes place in TN.
  • What do I need to bring? Your COMPLETED documents (except for your signature) and a valid GOVERNMENT ISSUED photo ID. A photo of your ID is not acceptable- it can be Photoshopped. We must physically inspect the physical ID. The main purpose of notarization is to prevent fraud.
  • Can this be done online? With a Remote Online Notary, yes. We are NOT licensed to do so. You must appear in person.
  • Do you have to watch me “fill out” my documents? No, please have them completed before you arrive. I only need to witness the SIGNING of the document.
  • I have a legal question: We are not attorneys and can not give legal advice. A notary only verifies the identity of a signer, willingness and ability to sign, and/or administers oaths. We are not trained in the practice of law.
  • “My bank notarizes for free! Then go to your bank. I can’t beat free, but I do notarize documents such as wills, estate documents, financial documents, sworn testimony and other documents that banks can and most likely will refuse to notarize. Bank notaries are paid by the bank. Independent notaries are only paid by their customers. Not many people work for free.

Passport Renewal: We can’t just “Stamp” copies of your documents. You must have your copies properly prepared.

How to prepare for notary service

About Our Service

Notaries Public are appointed by the county commission and are approved by the state Governor’s office and are considered State Officials.   We are bonded and insured for errors and omissions, and take great pride in continuing education and keeping up to date on the latest laws and best practices regarding notarization.  Our notaries are background checked with the National Verification Registry.

We will never cut corners or jeopardize our integrity.  It is our intent to make sure that any of our notarizations are beyond reproach.  We log every notary act and record every signer’s identity for the protection of the signer, those requesting the document and to maintain the public’s trust by preventing fraud.

We have repeat clients including hospitals, nursing homes, attorneys, insurance agents and other professionals that value the service we provide and our attention to detail.

We hope that you will give us the opportunity to serve you.
